പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ “ആത്മനിർഭരഭാരത” (സ്വാശ്രയ ഇന്ത്യ) ദൗത്യം അനുസരിച്ച് ആഭ്യന്തര ഉൽപാദനം വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി 101 നിർദ്ദിഷ്ട വസ്തുക്കൾ ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നത് പ്രതിരോധ മന്ത്രാലയം നിർത്തിവയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രി രാജ്നാഥ് സിംഗ് പറഞ്ഞു. അടുത്ത ആറ് മുതൽ ഏഴ് വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ആഭ്യന്തര വ്യവസായത്തിന് ഏകദേശം 4 ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപയുടെ കരാർ ലഭിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ഇതിനർത്ഥം. 2020 നും 2024 നും ഇടയിൽ ഘട്ടംഘട്ടമായി നിരോധനം നടപ്പാക്കുമെന്ന് മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
പീരങ്കി തോക്കുകൾ, റൈഫിളുകൾ, യുദ്ധ കപ്പൽ, സോണാർ സിസ്റ്റങ്ങൾ, ട്രാൻസ്പോർട്ട് എയർക്രാഫ്റ്റുകൾ, ലൈറ്റ് കോംബാറ്റ് ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററുകൾ, റഡാറുകൾ തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി സാങ്കേതിക ആയുധ സംവിധാനങ്ങളാണ് പട്ടികയിൽ ഉള്ളതെന്ന് കേന്ദ്രം പ്രസ്താവനയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
2021 ഡിസംബറോടെ വിലക്ക് വരുന്ന കവചിത യുദ്ധ വാഹനങ്ങളും (എഎഫ്വി) പട്ടികയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇതിൽ 5,000 കോടിയിലധികം ചിലവിൽ ഏകദേശം 200 ഓളം കരസേന കരസ്ഥമാക്കുമെന്ന് മന്ത്രാലയം അറിയിച്ചു.
2021 ഡിസംബറിന് ഇറക്കുമതി നിരോധന തീയതി സൂചിപ്പിച്ച് നാവികസേന അന്തർവാഹിനികൾക്കായി ആവശ്യം ഉന്നയിക്കാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. ഇതിൽ ഏകദേശം 42,000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ആറോളം അന്തർവാഹിനികൾ കരാർ നൽകാനാണ് ആലോചിക്കുന്നത്.
Almost 260 schemes of such items were contracted by the Tri-Services at an approximate cost of Rs 3.5 lakh crore between April 2015 and August 2020. It is estimated that contracts worth almost Rs 4 lakh crore will be placed upon the domestic industry within the next 6 to 7 years.

Of these, items worth almost Rs 1,30,000 crore each are anticipated for the Army and the Air Force while items worth almost Rs 1,40,000 crore are anticipated by the Navy over the same period. #AtmanirbharBharat

The list also includes, wheeled Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) with indicative import embargo date of December 2021, of which the Army is expected to contract almost 200 at an approximate cost of over Rs 5,000 crore. #AtmanirbharBharat
